160 new jobs created as Leeds-based firm expands operations by opening an office in Hull
Needing to accommodate our growth, we are now expanding our operations from West to East Yorkshire, choosing Hull as the location for our second office.
Ben Carroll, Managing Director at Leeds-based firm Enact Conveyancing, explains the reason for choosing Hull: “The city is buoyant following its year as the UK City of Culture and we wanted to be part of the journey in bringing business, investment and new opportunities to Hull as well as tapping into the talent here to establish our new team.”
Enact currently employ 530 people in our Leeds-based head office and have begun to recruit 160 staff members to its new Hull team, with 25 employees already recruited and starting work on Monday.
“We pride ourselves on delivering a professional and personalised service. In order to continue to deliver this, we needed to expand the business and take on more staff as our popularity amongst mortgage lenders and consumers continues to grow. Our team is what has always set us apart from the rest. We’re renowned within the industry for having one of the most comprehensive and complete conveyancing training programmes, which ensures that each member of our team is an expert in their field.”
Developing staff is integral to our company, which is why we operate an innovative Conveyancing Academy, a ground-breaking training initiative where staff receive comprehensive legal training alongside invaluable on-the-job learning.
The recruitment programme aims to have all jobs, including Legal Assistants, Team Leaders, Conveyancers and Customer Service Advisors, filled by the end of the year.
The new team will be based in the 10,000 sqft state-of-the-art office in Anchor House in Sylvester Street. These fully refurbished offices form part of the unique Maltings office complex, the former home of the Hull Brewery company, in the heart of Hull City Centre.
Martin Procter, who has secured one of the first roles at our new office, as Customer Service Team Leader, commented “I’m delighted to be joining Enact at this exciting phase in its growth. The new office is amazing – a good mix of history and ultra-modern – I think it will attract a lot of people from Hull who are looking for a more rewarding working environment.”
